French Montana Vs. Jim Jones
I put these two together because of one person, Max B. You all can go look up the history. But, let’s getting to the battle shall we.
Songs:
Playing in the Wind (Montana): The beat is the best part of this song, real talk. It’s one of those instrumentals that you can just listen to all day. That being said, French holds his own on the track. He even tries to put a lil’ emotion on the track as opposed to his normal “get money” lyrics.
We Fly High (Jones): We all know this song, and its millions of remixes. And although it got over played, it was a good song.
We Run New York (Montana): You might have to go look this one up. This track features Dame Grease and Max B. What got me was the beat. It’s a very mellow, jazz like beat. We everyone spits a solid verse.
Show Out Freestyle (Montana): Another good showing by French. I’m not going to lie; this song actually made me respect Montana. He went in, even harder than Dash did.
Black on Black (Jones): I loved this song the first time I heard it. The beat is AMAZING and Jim does his thing on it. If he would have dropped it on an album instead of a mixtape, he would have got some play.
Blow Ya’ Smoke (Jones): Another cool, breezy track by Jones. A solid song and a solid beat.
The edge: Jim Jones- I find my listening to Jim Jones’ songs a bit more, so I’m giving it to Jones here.
Lyrics/Delivery/Flow/Voice:
I’m going to start with Montana here. French has a unique voice that is easily recognizable. However, his voice is a bit annoying the first few times you hear it. I’m a Max B fan and Max and French are good friends. So, they are on a lot of tracks together. And to be honest, I used to fast-forward or skip tracks and had a lot of Montana on it. What I’m saying is, Montana’s voice is an acquired taste and takes a long time to get used to.
Montana’s delivery is clear and is flow is medium paced. His lyrics are the standard “get money” type stuff, which kind of makes him hard to listen to for a long time.
Now, let’s talk about Jones.
Jones also has a recognizable voice. However, his isn’t nearly as annoying. But, his flow is a little bit. It’s no secret that Jones’ flow slower than an elephant stuck in molasses.
Lyrically, I’d say Jones is actually a lot better than French. Say what you want about his ad-libs, but Jones’ songs do tell a vivid story most of the time. And he has tried to delve into more emotional/thoughtful songs, which is a plus to me.
The edge: Jim Jones
Beats:
Now, both pick decent beat overall. Everyone once in a while, Montana will get an awesome beat. But Jones, man, that vato gets 12 star beats all the time. Sooooo…
The edge: Jim Jones
The Winner: Jim Jones
-Don’t get me wrong, Montana is solid. But as a whole, Jones is a bit better.

you trippin french montanna all day f*** jim jones
Hey man, as I said before, these results are based on my opinion. Personally, I like both artist’s music.
