Kid Cudi Vs. Wale

Now I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of either. But, since they are kind of on the same level, I pitted them against each other. So, let’s look at hot songs shall?
Nike Boots (Wale): This is the song that really made him popular with the general public.
Day N Night (Cudi): The song that made Cudi popular. I’m not going to lie; I still love this song, even though I’m not Cudi’s biggest fan.
The edge: Meh, I’m going to give it to Cudi.
Lyrics: I’m going to say give the edge to Wale for a couple of reasons. For one, a lot of Cudi songs are written like R&B songs; a couple of lines, a hook, and a bridge. Wale drops actual verses and has some decent metaphors.
The edge: Wale
Beats: I’m not a fan of eithers beats on the whole. But, if I’d had to pick a winner, I’d go with Cudi. “Wasting my Minutes,” “Day N Night,” “Hyyer,” all had great beats.
The edge: Cudi
Intangibles: It now seems that Cudi is like Kayne’s little brother now. And if Kanye is shining, then so is Cudi. Conversely Wale is with Rick Ross, which means he is closer to Diddy and The J.u.s.t.i.c.e. L.e.a.g.u.e.
The edge: Cudi
Winner: Kid Cudi (by a narrow decision)
-Now again, these winners and losers are based on my opinion.
