Heel or no Heel?

A little while ago I was sitting around with a group of friends (male and female), just discussing a whole bunch of stuff. Somehow, the topic of dating popped and the men were asked if they preferred women to wear heels or sandals/flat shoes. All my homies preferred women to wear heels, one even jumped up and said “YES.”

I preferred women with sandals.

Now I know what you’re thinking, “what’s wrong with him,” but I’ll try to explain.

For one, I think a woman who wears sandal is a woman that is comfortable with herself. If you have the courage to walk around with your feet out, then you’ve got a certain amount of confidence, considering that fact that women with bad feet get clowned.

Two, a lot of women think that they have to wear heels to attract man. Man, that’s not true, not one bit. But, I think that fact that men praise heels a lot is the reason why women think that. If my girl wants to wear heels, that’s cool, but, she shouldn’t feel obligated to.

And three, well, I love short women–what can I say.

So yeah, those are a few of my reasons-(yes, I know me and my friends have weird conversations, don’t judge).

Switching Teams: Heading over to T-Mobile

So, for the past year or so, I’ve been with Cincinnati Bell. And can I say, the experience has been…interesting. One, my phone broke maybe 5 months after I bought it.

So, I had to get a replacement, which was also messed up. Alright, let me describe what happened. My original phone’s touch-screen died, so they sent me a refurbished phone. Now, the refurbished phone’s video camera was jacked up. So, I called customer service, how were less than helpful.

Anyway, so my entire family is heading over to T-Mobile. The prices are cheaper AND we all get to have an Android. I’m excited about this, because I’ve been wanting to get a Android for a LONG time. By the way, does T-Mobile only sell Androids? I ask because that’s the only thing I saw on their sight, minus the two BlackBerry phones and the one Windows Mobile phone.

So right now, I’ve got my eye on three different phones.

Samsung Galaxy S™ 4G:

One of the best looking Androids that I’ve seen. It’s also one of the better-rated phones that T-Mobile has. If I can, this is the one that I’d like to have.

LG Optimus T

This is a nice looking one as well. The specs are cool, and people don’t seem to have a lot of problems with it. My only gripe is that the phone looks a lil’ small.

T-Mobile G2x

I love the look of this phone. However, it’s been getting LOTS of bad reviews.

Rob Dyrdek

Man, Rob Dyrdek do no wrong?

This man does EVERYTHING. He is pro skateboarder, he has hosted three shows on MTV, he has got a line of action figures, he created various skate parks in the U.S., and he made a movie.

I don’t what it is, but Rob has the golden touch.

I know people call him a C-List celebrity, but that vato is ok in my book.  For real though, I’m wondering why other skateboarders haven’t done the same.

And he is funny. Some people don’t like his style. Others say Ridiculousness is a Tosh copy. But hey, that show is “laugh out loud” homie.

Random Thoughts- Jesery Shore Edition

So, I’ve caught every episode of the Jersey Shore this season (well, I’ve seen EVERY episode actually, but anyway). I must say, this season seems very promising.

While watching last night, I had some random thoughts.

1. Ron and Sam are the worst couple in the history of FOREVER. Ron, you are to blame this time, because you are the one that official said that yall were back together. Your homie told you that he was going to kick you in the yams if you two got back together. Get ready for that sir.

2. Pauly is like the coolest dude ever. Even when that guy messes up, everyone still loves him.

3. I’m surprised that Mike has got knocked out before this season. I’m sorry, but mike talks a LOT of stuff. I positive that I couldn’t hang with Mike, sorry homie. Speaking of Mike getting knocked out, MTV is really teasing that episode. He all thought it was coming this week, but I guess we got to wait another week.

4. Sam, you are REALLY annoying yo. Chill and go sit down somewhere. And QUIT crying, geez!

5. Deena is the cutest girl up in that house. It’s a shame she thinks she has to drink and act a fool to get attention.

Haterazzi

Another funny show, hosted by The Darker Hater, @Haterazzi. Now warning, this show talks about a lot of topics, and some of them are more adult than others. Now, this show is different than the others I’ve listed. So, some of the Haterazzi podcasts are free. A free one comes out every two weeks. But, the Haterazzi podcast also has a paid service, which gives the listeners specials and more shows.

The Morning Jones

It’s a sports podcast, hosted by Bomani Jones and his crew. It’s a really insightful show, and of course, it’s funny as well. Now, this show is ending at the end of the month. But, it’s, shoutouts.

Single Simulcast

I just got hip to this show. It’s hosted by a man named @Rashanii. Now, he normally does the show by himself, but, that doesn’t make the show any less funny. He is on episode 17 at the moment, so you better jump aboard now.

Chonilla

This is the last podcast I want to talk about. It is hosted by a Canadian couple, and basically they just talk about various topics. Again, they are another funny show, check em out.

My favorite podcasts pt. 1

Today, I’m going to list some of my favorite podcasts. These are shows that I listen to on the regular. So here we go, in no real order.

The Black Guy Who Tips

One of my favorites for show. I’ve been riding with this shows since about episode 50 (they are in the 200s now). Funny and insightful. Also, the hosts know how to interact with their fans(@rodimusprime and @SayDatAgain on Twitter). They do three shows a week (2 regular shows and one feedback show).

Where’s My 40 Acres

Another great show. I actually heard about them from TBGWT podcast. the co-hosts know how to hold it down, while being funny at the same time. The best part about this show? Easily, it’s the music. The entire cast is well-versed in hip-hop. I got introduced to A LOT of great stuff from listening to the show (Kendrick Lamar, XV, etc). The show is long (which is great to me), so sit down, load up the Call of Duty and listen to the show.

The Knee Grow Majority

Another good show. @Adjective_J is a funny dude and has great opinions about topics (which could be anything on this show). The show is still a bit young, but its growing. I’d advise you all jump on board quickly.

The Player Hater Podcast

I’ve been listening to this show for a long time. I got introduced to TBGWT podcast from this show. The host, @MrPlayerHater offers a refresh perspective into relationships. Beware, this show is a lot more, let’s say, adult than all the others. But, it’s worth it.

Thoughts on the New Shore

My friends have made fun of me in the past, but I don’t care. Jersey Shore is one of my favorite shows. I can’t really tell you why. Perhaps I like all the drama that comes along with the show.

Over the past weekend MTV had a Jersey Shore marathon; they played the show non-stop from Friday to Monday basically. And I sat down a re-watched.

They also previewed the new season, which looks like it’s going to be great. Apparently, there are going to be a BUNCH of fights this season, and not just between Ron and Sam. Mike and Ron will battle, Mike Vs. Snooki, J-Wow Vs. Snooki.

Anyway, the new season starts Thursday. I don’t know about you all, but I’m clearing my schedule.

X-Men: My Starting 5

@PhenomBlak on Twitter, host of Where’s My 40 Acres podcast, posed a question bit ago. He basically asked who people would choose if they had to pick five X-Men. Now, recently, I’ve gone back and watch 65 of the 76 episode X-Men series.

So, I want to give my starting five so to speak, in no particular order.

1. Cable

Every team needs a leader right? I’d pick Cable as my team’s leader. For one, his leadership skills are better than his dads, Scott Summers. Two, Cable seems to be more decisive. Also, Cable as technology and stuff, so, the team would be able to time travel and stuff.

2. Nightcrawler

 

Nightcrawler was my favorite growing up, so I had to select him. Now, he wouldn’t be extremely useful in fights per say, but in stealth missions and recon, he would be invaluable.

3. Colossus

Every team needs an incredible strong man. Colossus would be that guy on my team. Basically, he would be my replacement for Wolverine I suppose.

4. Psylocke

 

Got to have a psychic on the team right? I always liked Psylocke because she was a fighter. A lot of the X-Men who were known for brain power, cough Jean cough, were also extremely weak during battles. However, Psylocke could hold her own.

5. Domino

I decided to throw in someone that most people wouldn’t know. Domino is a sniper. But, her mutant power is similar to Longshot’s, meaning she can change the probability of an outcome.

Swords and Junk

So one of my favorite podcasts is The Black Guy Who Tips (check it out). Anyway, on their show, the hosts read a lot of articles about criminals getting caught with swords. They say these people.

Now, does owning a sword really make a person crazy?

Cause….I’ve kind of wanted to own a sword. Does make me crazy? (Cee-lo voice)

Well, kind of. Actually, I want to own a Naginata.

But really though, what would I do with one of these. Cut stuff down in the woods? Cause clearly I can’t run around my college town with one of these. And I surely couldn’t back at home in the hood.

I guess I’d just hang it up on my wall. And hey, it’s only $35.99. You can’t beat that right?

Animal Talk
